Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement Action Plan

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the State Administration for Market Regulation recently jointly issued the "Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement Action Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"), proposing that by 2025,

1. The energy efficiency of key industrial industries has been comprehensively improved, and the energy efficiency of key areas such as data centers has been significantly improved.

2. The proportion of green and low-carbon energy utilization has been significantly increased,

3. Energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing technology and equipment are widely used, and the standards, services and supervision systems are gradually improved.

4. The energy efficiency of key products in iron and steel, petrochemical, non-ferrous metals, building materials and other industries has reached the international advanced level.

5. The energy consumption of industrial units above designated size for added value will drop by 13.5% compared with 2020.
